Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued decrees ratifying a protocol and memorandums of understanding (MoU) with several countries.
Decree No. 47 of 2013 ratifies an MoU in the health field between Qatar and Bulgaria, signed in Sophia on May 17, 2012.
Decree No. 48 of 2013 ratifies an MoU on tourism cooperation between Qatar and Ecuador, signed in Quito on February 16, 2013.
Decree No. 49 of 2013 ratifies an MoU on cooperation in public prosecution work between the public prosecution in Qatar and the Tunisian Justice Ministry, signed in Tunis on July 16, 2012. Decree No. 50 of 2013 ratifies a protocol on cultural cooperation in restoration, rehabilitation and development of tourism sites and historical monuments in Tunisia, signed by Qatar and Tunisia in Tunis on July 16, 2012.
Decree No. 51 of 2013 ratifies an MoU in the field of agriculture and animal and fish wealth between Qatar and Bulgaria, signed in Sophia on May 17, 2012.
Decree No. 52 ratifies a cooperation agreement in the cultural field between Qatar and Thailand, signed in Doha on March 4, 2013.
Decree No. 53 of 2013 ratifies an agreement on cooperation and news exchange between Qatar News Agency and Saudi Press Agency, signed in Doha on December 15, 2008.
Decree No. 54 of 2013 ratifies a free trade agreement between GCC states and Singapore, signed in Doha on December 15, 2008.
Decree No. 55 of 2013 ratifies a cultural and artistic cooperation agreement between Qatar and Iran, signed in Tehran on July 18, 2008.
The MoUs and the protocol shall have the power of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.

The first approves a draft memorandum of understanding between Qatar’s Ministry of Energy and Industry and Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas in the field of oil and gas, signed in Muscat on May 28, 2013.
The second approves a draft MoU in the field of environment between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, while the other endorses a draft MoU on cooperation in the field of meteorology between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, both signed in Riyadh on March 1, 2011.
