New York: Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah has participated in the Forum of the Coordinating Committee on Combating Global Terrorism, which was hosted by US Secretary of State John Kerry, on the sidelines of the 68th UN Assembly General session in New York. The Forum is to put forward strategic priorities to combat violence and strengthen civil institutions in the fight against terrorism.
Doha: The Ministry of Justice began providing services to the public from 5pm to 8pm at the documentation and real estate registration departments to alleviate the pressure faced by the ministry and the public during normal working hours. The services will be provided in a trial period for two months over three days a week (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), before being implemented permanently seven days a week.
A weekly report will be made on the progress of this service for evaluation in order to avoid any obstacles or observations that may be encountered during the trial period.
Manama: Qatar has participated in the 7th GCC Public Prosecutors, Attorney-Generals and Heads of Public Investigation Authorities which concluded in the Bahraini capital yesterday.
Qatar’s delegation to the meeting was led by the Attorney General H E Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri.
The meeting reviewed the issues on the meeting’s agenda aiming to consolidate joint GCC action.
The participants agreed to submit a recommendation to the Supreme Council concerning the exchange of members of public prosecution and investigation authorities among GCC states. They also endorsed the by-law of the Excellence Award for members of public prosecutions and investigation authorities and decided to submit it to the ministerial meeting for approval.QNA
