Kabul: The Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs
H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi has participated as representative of the State of Qatar in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
Al Rumaihi also congratulated the Prime Minister-designate Dr Abdullah Abdullah and the Vice-Presidents.

DOHA: RasGas has commissioned the Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) of Qatar University (QU) to conduct a survey among communities residing in the northern parts of Qatar to identify their developmental needs.
It aims to provide guidance to companies in Ras Laffan Industrial City on how their resources could be better exploited to support the local community.
The survey will cover residents of mainly the Al Daayen, Al- Khor and Al Dhakira and Al Shamal municipalities. The target areas include Sumaisma, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, Al Shamal, Al Kaaban, Al Ghuwairia, Al Ghaariya, Al Ruwais and Al Zubara.
It seeks to identify community perceptions, awareness and expectations about the RLIC industry. The survey is part of the RLIC Community Outreach Programme (RLIC-COP) This is the largest stakeholders engagement initiative planned so far by the industry, said a statement yesterday.
Abdulaziz Al Muftah, Ras Laffan Director and Chairperson of the RLIC-COP, addressed the audience : “This initiative is a step toward a new approach for the future. As companies, we believe in our responsibility to positively contribute to our communities. However, our support must come in a more structured way, and respond to specific needs.”
SESRI director Dr Darwish Al Emadi said: “Over the last six years, SESRI has been attempting big changes, and at the same time, we have been putting every effort into taking up initiatives that bring added value. To this end, we are pleased to be working closely with our constituents and to be hosting this important event today”.
