Special Eid events attracted large crowds at places like  Katara, Heritage Village, Aspire Zone, the Museum of Islamic Art and major malls in addition to the Qatar National Theatre and Al Rayyan Theatre. Mohamad Essa Al Jabor, supervisor for activities at the heritage village said that they received over 300 visitors during the holidays until midnight especially families and children.

Furd Shakdan, marketing manager at Hyat Plaza said, “for the last three days we received more than 90,000 visitors, I strongly believe that this shouldn’t be limited for Eid. This is raising business at shopping malls and people are enjoying. Some were even waiting for more than an hour for events to begin. Such events could be organised during spring and winter when we experience the best weather to develop tourism,” he added.
