Algiers: The meetings of the Council of the Arab League at the level of foreign ministers started in Algeria yesterday, in preparation for the Council of the Arab League at the summit level of the 31st Ordinary Arab Summit on November 1-2 in Algeria.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi chaired the delegation of Qatar to the meetings.
Also, the Arab foreign ministers will hold a closed working session to adopt the draft agenda and consider the draft resolutions reached by the Arab League Council meetings at the level of permanent delegates, before submitting them to the Arab Summit meeting.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of Algeria H E Ramtane Lamamra.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries and a number of issues of common interest. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs thanked the Algerian government for the generous hospitality and good organisation of the Arab Summit.
Al Muraikhi also met with Mauritania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad H E Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug on the sidelines of the meeting.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries and several issues of mutual concern.
