DOHA: Temperature is expected to remain low today, with chances of more rains, especially in the early hours, according the Meteorology Department. Several parts of the country received light rains last evening, accompanied by strong northwesterly winds.
“There are chances of more rains tonight and early morning tomorrow and in the following days,” a forecaster at the Department said.
The dip in temperature over the past few days has been attributed to a deep low pressure over the Gulf region and this condition is expected to prevail for another four to five days, he added.
Temperature would hover between 17 to 24 degrees during this period but it may get warmer again with a change in the wind direction. “We can not still say that the winter has begun. However, temperature would remain low in the days to come,” said the forecaster.
