Aster Medical Centre, a division of Aster DM Healthcare, launched the My Health My Pledge campaign in Qatar. The campaign focuses on promoting good health and encouraging people to take pledge on doing a healthy deed and nominating their peers or friends or colleagues for taking the pledge.
Speaking on the launch of the Qatar edition of My Health My Pledge campaign, Dr Sameer Moopan, CEO, Aster DM Healthcare-Qatar, said: “I am honoured to announce the launch of this noble initiative in Qatar. Health of an individual is something which should not be neglected because a healthy body makes a healthy mind. Healthy living is a must not only for one person but also for the people around them. With the increase in cases of lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and various cardiovascular conditions and their other complications, it has become a necessity of sorts to indulge in regular exercises and follow a healthy diet. I have taken a pledge for healthy living. I urge people to take the pledge, indulge in health building activities and make a difference.”
He further added: “With this campaign we want to promote the advantages of healthy living. People can contribute by following those activities which are usually ignored such as walk more, sleep early and wake up early and use the stairs instead of elevator wherever possible. Such small activities followed by regular exercises and healthy food intake can bring about a positive change.”
To take the pledge, interested individuals need to visit the nearest Aster Medical Centre or Aster pharmacy and ask for pledge coupons. For taking the pledge online, you can visit www.myhealthmypledge.com.
