School students compete during a fencing competition, held under the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) in Doha yesterday. The Qatar Olympic Committee in partnership with the Supreme Education Council hosts the SOP. The SOP develops and promotes fitness and a healthy lifestyle by organising multisport competitions among the schools of Qatar with students ranging from 5 to 18 years of age. The sport competitions culminate in a celebration during the Girls and Boys Finals at Aspire Dome on March 19 and 20, 2015. This year’s theme is ‘Sport and Peace’ while ‘Sport and Integrity’ was the theme of last year’s SOP, which is now into its eighth edition.
