DOHA: Experts from over 20 countries are expected to discuss latest technologies and applications in the transport and logistics sectors at the upcoming Qatar International Exhibition for Transport and Logistics — Trans4.
The third-edition of Trans4 will be held at the newly-built Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from May 24 to 26, 2016.
The logistics, freight and transport (shipping and railways) sectors are expected to get a boost when Doha plays host of the coveted event. “The three-day event aims to promote Qatar as a destination where the four key sectors are bound to grow remarkably in the next one decade,” Ali bin Abdulatif Al Misnad, Chairman of Al Baida Group, organiser of the event, said yesterday.
Al Misnad, who also heads the local forum of stakeholders in the logistics industry, said the event will bring together government decision makers and business leaders in the transport and logistics sectors in Qatar and the neighbouring countries. He said the exhibition will provide an important platform for exchanging experiences, discussing latest technologies and applications in the sectors and identifying the specialised international companies in the relevant sectors.
Hamad Al Khalifa, Director of Land Transport Licensing Department at the Ministry of Transport, was also present at the press briefing. Representatives of more than 300 firms from 20 countries are expected for the event.
