Qatar will participate in the 171st ordinary meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) which will be held on today in Vienna, with a delegation headed by Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, the current Opec Conference President.
The meeting will discuss a number of topics, including the recent developments in the global oil market and the results of the informal consultative meetings held over the past two months in Algeria and Qatar, in addition to ways to restore balance to the market.
The meeting will be followed by a press conference by Opec Conference President Dr Al Sada, and Opec Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo.
