Doha, Qatar: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) – Chairman of the Security Committee, H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met Director General of the National Police of the Kingdom of Spain H E Francisco Pardo Piqueras who is visiting the country to attend the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 at Lusail International Circuit.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed existing cooperation between the two friendly countries in the security and policing fields and discussed ways to further enhance and develop it. They also explored avenues for strengthening integration in crime prevention and major event security, in addition to discussing Spanish expertise in crowd management and field operations, contributing to advancing security systems in both countries and boosting the efficiency of joint cooperation.

Separately, the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) — Chairman of the Security Committee, also met His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary and His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Fire & Rescue Services in the United Kingdom, H E Sir Andy Cooke during his visit to the country to attend the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 at Lusail International Circuit.
Both sides reviewed the existing areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries in the policing and security fields and discussed ways to further enhance and develop them in line with shared interests. The discussions also covered mechanisms to strengthen emergency response capabilities and the exchange of expertise in risk management, major sporting event security, and fire and rescue services.
