Met forecasts sunny, cold day in Delhi today

Commuters cross railway tracks through dense fog close to Amritsar railway station yesterday. Heavy fog has disrupted road, rail and air traffic across northern India.

New Delhi: It was a sunny but cold Saturday yesterday with the maximum temperature recorded a notch above average at 21.8 degrees. The met department has similar weather for today.

The minimum temperature was 8.5 degrees - also a notch above average.

Shallow fog enveloped the capital in morning reducing the visibility to 800 metres at 8.30am.

“There will be fog on Sunday morning but the sky will get clear in the day,” said an official of India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures today are likely to hover around 20 and 8 degrees respectively. IANS
