DOHA: Members of the Sri Lankan and Pakistan communities met officials at the Human Rights Department of Ministry of Interior.
The Director of the department, Colonel Abdullah Saqar Al Mohanadi, received George Bandula, President of Sri Lankan Coordination Committee, Lalith Jayasekera, President of Sri Lankan Relief Fund, Lianan Gian, Vice-President of Sri Lankan Coordination Committee and Tariq Qasim, Representative of Sri Lankan Muslim Council.
They discussed means of introducing Qatari and Arab norms and values to the community. The Pakistani team included community leader Habibullah Sheikh and Pashto community leader Jenan. Talks covered Pakistani labourers and safeguarding the rights of the community members.
