On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the mathematician, Srinivas Ramanujam, Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) celebrated Maths Day. The Department of Mathematics held a quiz and speech and displayed boards to encourage young mathematicians of the school. The event started with a short speech on the life of Ramanujam and his contribution to mathematics. Afshan Rathore, delivered the introductory speech, followed by the quiz competition. Blue House emerged winners in categories III & IV, while Yellow House won the honours in category I & II. Prarthna Sudeep, Ashiq Sunil, Soorya Krishna and Bushra, representing Blue House teamed up to win the Senior category title. Dr Subhash Nair, Principal, appreciated efforts of the Maths Department.
