ATHENS--Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras said on Tuesday that a snap election planned for next month would determine whether the country remains part of the Europe Union.
"This struggle will determine whether Greece stays in Europe," Samaras told President Karolos Papoulias as he asked for parliament to be dissolved for an election on January 25.
