DOHA: A multi storey parking for Souq Waqif and an underground tunnel connecting the Souq with Corniche are expected to be completed in the first quarter of next years, officials said.
The multi storey parking will accommodate up to 2,000 vehicles solving the common parking problem in the area, reported Al Sharq.
Sources said that the construction project was in its final stages and that the contractors were doing final touches as well as connecting electricity.
The project included a multistorey parking, an underground pedestrian tunnel, a public park with a restaurant and children play areas.
