The two clubs will face off in a friendly match here during their winter break, before league football restarts on January 6 in Italy.
“We’ve improved from last season,” Roberto Mancini said at a joint press conference with PSG coach Laurent Blanc.
“The league is strange and difficult, at the start we were targeting the Champions League but now who knows.
“We want to do the best for ourselves, we’ll see in the end if it’s possible to win something.
“PSG are a top team, I’m sure people will come to the stadium to see a fantastic match with some absolute champions.
“I want to compliment the people who worked to create the structures for the future World Cup.
“PSG are among the best teams in Europe, we’re Inter and when two great teams meet you can never predict what happens,” added Mancini.
The match has caught the imagination of the Qatari public with tickets sold out three days before the kick off.
The stadium is home to Al Sadd, former AFC League champions.
Mancini assured that the public will have an interesting match on hand.
“It should be a good game for the audience and it would definitely give us a good outing. I must thank Qatar for organising such a match.”
“We are very happy to be here. We have good weather and good infrastructure here. We will play PSG, one of the top European teams. It will be a good game and the fans who come to the stadium will see a fantastic game with fantastic players,” the Italian added.
Blanc said his players are working hard in the camp and the friendly will help his team to become better and better.
“There are a lot of important matches in the French League and in the Champions League. We are training hard here and looking to benefit from this training camp. We hope for a good match against a team who are at the top of their league.”
He expressed his belief that his side can go from strength to strength as it seeks domestic and European titles this campaign.
Les Parisiens are 19 points clear at the top of Ligue 1. While in the Champions League they face Chelsea in the final 16.
Blanc said that training camps like the one in Doha helps increase the bond between the players, which translates to better performances on the pitch.
He said that all conditions, including the weather and what he said were exceptional facilities in Aspire, will help make the camp a success.
