Occupied Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Governorate reported that 480 settlers, escorted by the Israeli occupying forces, infiltrated Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday.

The Governorate added that these incursions occurred during the morning and evening hours, with settlers emerging from the Maghariba Gate in the western wall of the mosque in cascading formations amid maximum security enforced by the occupying soldiers.

It clarified that these incursions were marked by desecration of the Mosque, as settlers engaged in performing Talmudic rites.

Concomitantly with these breaches, the occupying forces impose restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers, vet their personal identities, and detain some at the exterior gates of the Mosque, the Governorate pointed out.

The Mosque comes under daily settler incursions in groups in an attempt to enforce spatial and temporal patterns of access, with Palestinians confirming that the Israeli occupying forces step up their violations with the intent to judaize East Jerusalem, including Al-Aqsa, and obliterate its Arab and Christian identities.

Since 2003, the Israeli occupation police have unilaterally allowed settler incursions into Al-Aqsa, with the number of incursionists steadily increasing year after year.
