DOHA: The total number of real estate deals inked during the third week of January (between 12 and 16) jumped 193 compared to 108 transactions singed during the previous week, up by over 78 percent, according to Ezdan Weekly report.
With the increase in the number of deals, the combine value of real estate transactions during the week crossed QR1bn mark compared to QR982.2m in the previous week, witnessing an increase of 3.3 percent, according to the latest weekly bulletin issued by the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice.
Ezdan Holding’s weekly report predicted that property transactions will experience a revival in the coming weeks, especially in the land sector, noting that investors and real estate developers are heading towards establishing more new projects.
Doha Municipality ranked first with a total turnover of QR574.6m compared to QR458m in the previous week, with an increase of 25.5 percent. In addition, 39 deals were singed compared to 31 in the previous week, with Doha acquiring over 56 percent of the total transactions of the week.
Rayyan Municipality ranked second in terms of trading value reaching at QR118.5m compared to QR280.7m in the previous week, with a significant drop of 57.8 percent, having 11.7 percent of the total transactions this week by implementing 29 deals.
While Al Daayen Municipality stood at third position in terms of transactions value, which reached at QR93.8m as a result of the implementation of 35 transactions, recording a rise of 59.2 percent compared with the previous week.The Peninsula
