Doha: The second annual general meeting of heads of Qatar’s diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad ended in the presence of the Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
He thanked aides, ambassadors and heads of departments at the Foreign Ministry for efforts to make the meeting a success.
He said the three-day meeting was an opportunity to review work strategies, coordination and cooperation between the ministry and government agencies to promote Qatar’s foreign policy success in different fields and achieve state interests.
GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani highlighted the role of the embassies in activating cooperation between GCC foreign ministries.
Dr Al Attiyah honoured Qatar’s outstanding embassies, consulates and representations abroad. He said the recognition is a catalyst for embassies, consulates and representations abroad to exert more efforts to promote Qatar’s foreign policy, offer the best services to citizens overseas and remove obstacles they might face.
