DOHA: ExxonMobil Qatar has announced that the 2015 edition of its Tamayoz training programme will focus on health, safety, environment (HSE) and leadership development skills for participants, including employees of its partner Qatar Petroleum (QP), and joint ventures RasGas and Qatargas.
“The 2015 agenda has courses in  a range of topics,” said Anthony Pryde, Joint Interest Technical Manager, ExxonMobil Qatar Inc.
“A successful training programme is always a work in progress and we constantly update our courses so that they are effective and relevant to participants.
“They must fulfil Tamayoz’s objective  — to contribute to building people’s capabilities and continue the development of the industry in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”
ExxonMobil experts offer free training programmes on areas pertinent to participants’ work.
This year’s courses will also cover areas such as commercial, technical and project management aspects of training.
Mohammad Hasan Eshkenani, Geologist, QP, who attended the Fundamentals Geoscience Subsurface Interpretation course, said: “I had heard positive comments from colleagues about courses Tamayoz provides for professionals in the energy industry.
“When I took part in one, I experienced first-hand the quality content, trainers’ extensive industry knowledge and the relevance of the courses.
“What I learnt has been applicable to my work and the course has enhanced skills set my job requires.”
Last year, with 33 training opportunities Tamayoz covered all relevant areas for 670 professionals. “Month after month, professionals from our joint ventures have come to expect quality training programmes we have provided since the launch of Tamayoz in 2013,” said Alistair Routledge, President and General Manager, ExxonMobil Qatar Inc.
