Qatari citizens have criticized the habit of keeping dogs and other wild animals in homes as they threaten their safety and the safety of other neighbours.
The criticism comes a day after a dog attacked a home of a citizen going after the birds kept in a cage and threatening the children who were playing outside, reported Al Sharq.
The children after seeing the dog entering their home just fled the playing ground and closed themselves inside the house as they watched its attack on the domestic birds. The incident left the children shocked.
The citizens called upon authorities to ban the keeping of dogs and other wild animals in residential homes to avoid similar attacks, adding that some people who kept dogs were also guilty of moving around the neighbourhoods with them.
