Pak-Saudi joint military exercises are part of normal routine, claims DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa on Monday said that joint military exercises between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are part of normal routine.  

In a tweet, Bajwa said that a pre-scheduled Pak-Saudi joint exercise, Samsam-5 was being held since March 19 in Taif, Saudi Arabia. 

He added that it was not an ops deployment and that 292 Pakistani troops were participating. 

The DG ISPR further said that the joint Ex Samsam is held every year and last year it was held near Jhelum in Pakistan.
