KABUL: At least 38 Taliban fighters were reportedly killed Friday and dozens others injured in clashes that took place in South-Eastern Afghanistan.
Some 1,000 Taliban fighters attacked three villages in Andar located in Ghazni province early Friday.
They faced off with Afghani security and some of their civilian supporters in a six-hour battle.
Deputy Provincial Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi said that the fighters attacked a police checkpoint in Andar.
Some 15 policemen were killed in the battle as well. (QNA)
