DOHA: Private insurance companies providing health insurance to citizens have been asked to stop doing that by April 30, 2015, as public health authorities do not want any duplication following the inclusion of all Qatari nationals in the mandatory health insurance scheme of the state on April 30 this year.
The Supreme Council of Health has also declared that things like bandages, medical socks and syringes are not to be covered by the free health insurance provided to them by the Qatari government.
