Sri Lankan forums hold annual general meeting

The Annual General Meetings of Sri Lankan Coordinating Committee (SLCC) Qatar, Sri Lankan Community Benevolent Fund (SLCBF) Qatar and Sri Lankan Business Council (SLBC) Qatar were held at the Sri lankan Embassy on Friday.
The outgoing President George Bandula welcomed the members. In his address he lauded the efforts of the members for the successful conduct of the National Day celebrations and the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations.
The outgoing Chief Coordinator Dhammika Jayasena conducted the election of office bearers and committee members for 2015/2016.
The new committee consists of Sri Lankan Coordinating Committee Qatar President: Tennison De Silva, General Secretary: Lenny Cramer, Treasurer: Lakmal Ehalamalpe, Chief Coordinator: Ranjith Gurusinghe, Vice President: Sanath Kohowilage, Vice President (Welfare & Fund Raising): Pantalion Perera, Assistant General Secretary: Dhammika Jayasena, Assistant Treasurer: Roshan Balasooriya, Assistant Chief Coordinator: Vidya Shanthikumar, Immediate Past President: George Bandula, Committee Members: Ajith Priyantha Lekamge, Nishantha Gamage, H M Thilakarathna,
Sri Lankan Community Benevolent Fund Qatar picked the following officials, President: Nimal Thudewattage, General Secretary: Anura Hettigoda, Treasurer: Lalindra De Silva, Vice President: A M Liyanage, Assistant General Secretary: Tissa Edirisinghe, Assistant Treasurer: Sudath Lelwela, 
The members also picked Sri Lankan Business Council Qatar President: Mahesh Abhayapala, General Secretary: W L Upali, Treasurer: Subash Premananda, Vice president: Nuwan Samarakoon, Assistant General Secretary: W Mahendra, Assistant Treasurer: Randheer Hapugodaarachchi
The newly elected Presidents Tennison De Silva (SLCC), Nimal Thudewattage (SLCBF), Mahesh Abhayapala (SLBC) and SLCC Chief Coordinator Ranjith Gurusinghe addressed the membership. 
Thereafter the forums hosted a get together for the outgoing President George Bandula who will be leaving Qatar shortly.
