DOHA: Qatar Airways recently hosted a special iftar for 80 orphaned children in partnership with Qatar Charity. The youngsters of various nationalities are supported by Qatar Charity under its “Future Leaders” programme.
Ehab Amin, Vice President Commercial – Qatar Airways, and Hamad Al Fayyad, Qatar Charity Director of Marketing in the Executive Management for the Development of Resources, attended the traditional occasion which had a unique programme of activities designed to entertain the children while remaining true to the values of Ramadan.
During the iftar there were face painting sessions, games and a bouncy castle, among a theme of cartoon characters, all overseen by representatives from Qatar Charity. Several Qatar Airways staff took part in the proceedings distributing free giveaways to every child which included Qatar Airways backpacks with colouring kits, toys and stationery kits.
