DOHA: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of congratulations to King Mohammed VI of Morocco on his country’s National Day.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.
DOHA: The Ministry of Interior and Karwa, the public transportation company, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which Karwa will be the land carrier of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Doha in April 2015.
The MoU was signed for the ministry by Colonel Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, Director, Public Relations Department, and Member of the Preparatory Committee for hosting conference and for Karwa by Khaled Nasser Al Hail, CEO.
It covers several areas of cooperation, including planning services, provision of vehicles, drivers, daily processing services, and services for the management and supervision of transportation lines, as well as all operational requirements in the field of transportation.
The congress will be held from April 12 to 19 under the theme ‘Integrating crime prevention and criminal justice into the wider United Nations agenda’ to address social and economic challenges and promote the rule of law at the national and international levels, and public participation.
