DOHA: Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of Lulu Exchange Company WLL, was honoured with Global Businessman award at the seventh edition of the Brand Icons Awards organised by The Times Group at Thiruvananthapuram in India recently.
The award recognises key icons and organisations that achieve outstanding results and that set them apart as leaders in their own spheres. Adeeb, who also spearheads several other organisations including Twenty14 Holdings and Tablez Food Company, was honoured for his contribution towards the growth of business across various sectors around the world. T M Thomas Isaac, Kerala’s Minister of Finance, presented the award.
Within seven years, Adeeb established LuLu Financial Group as a global foreign exchange and money remittance enterprise with more than 130 branches across the globe. He then set up Tablez Food Company, a food and beverages venture which currently has more than 30 outlets, both home-grown and franchised, across India and the UAE.
Adeeb Ahamed is also the Managing Director of Twenty14 Holdings, which owns properties around the world including the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London, Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay in Dubai and Fairfield by Marriott in Kochi, among others.
“It is indeed a great honour to be recognised among the top icons in the field of business. The award will help me reaffirm my commitment towards setting up new benchmarks in the sectors I am involved with. I would also like to congratulate my fellow awardees, who have carved a niche of their own in their fields of expertise,” Adeeb said.
