Washington: The death toll in US state of Kentucky has risen to 25 people, including four children, as search-and-rescue teams continue searching for survivors of devastating floods.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said on Saturday that Governor Andy Beshear said on Saturday that flash floods have killed at least 25 people and that he expected that number to rise significantly.

There is no accurate account of how many people remain missing in the aftermath, the governor said.

US authorities said it could take weeks before all the victims are found and that it is unclear how many people are missing as cell service is out in many areas.
