Kuwait: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met on Sunday with Secretary-General of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (FGCCC) Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance economic integration among the GCC states and promote joint cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council and the FGCCC to develop the business environment in the GCC states.
The officials also exchanged enhancing and developing joint cooperation between the chambers of commerce in the GCC states and reviewed developments in the upcoming consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and the heads of the GCC Chambers Federations, scheduled to be held on Oct. 29, 2025, in the State of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the meetings of the Trade Cooperation Committee.
Several proposed future economic projects and forums between the GCC and a number of brotherly and friendly countries were also discussed, benefiting both sides and advancing economic and investment cooperation to broader horizons.
During the meeting, the GCC Secretary-General praised the Federation's efforts in facilitating communication between chambers of commerce and industry in the GCC countries and its support for initiatives that strengthen the Gulf economy.
