DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area on Thursday 80.38 points or 0.82 percent to 9,837.49 points from the previous closing of 9,757.11 points on Wednesday.
The volume of the shares down to 8,034,980 from 8,655,271 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR 381,346,846.56 from QR 298,849,517.54 Wednesday.
Among the top losers were Qatar National Bank whose share gained 2.09 percent to QR 166.00, Nakilat whose share added 0.74 percent to QR 19.15, United Dev. Company raised 1.01 percent to QR 22.00 and Industries Qatar up by 1.92 percent to QR 159.50.
The Banking and Financial sector index was down 0.92 percent points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.20 percent points.
The industrial sector was gained 1.16 percent points while insurance sector raised 1.63 percent points. (QNA)
