DOHA: A traffic awareness lecture was organised for Students of Ahmad bin Muhammad Military College on Wednesday.
The lecture was organised by Media and Awareness Department at General Directorate of Traffic and was attended by the Director of the General Directorate of Traffic Brig Muhammad Saad al Kharji, Commander of Ahmad bin Muhammad Military College along with other officials of the college.
Brig Muhammad Saad Al Kharji emphasised the importance of obeying traffic rules and regulations to ensure road safety and reduce traffic accidents.
Open discussion were held between traffic officials and the College candidates.
Awareness films on the importance of Seat belt and risks of crossing signals were shown in the program in addition to explanation over traffic incidents and ways of prevention.
The Media and Awareness Department also organised an awareness lecture at the headquarters of Traffic Department.
A number of students from Jassim bin Hamad Secondary School attended the event. Minister of Youth and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali also attended the event during his visit to the Department.
Lt Abdul Wahid Al Anazi, an officer from the department gave a presentation on the functions of Traffic Department and risks of driving without license and regulations of driving for teenagers below 18 years along with videos showing the importance of seat belt.
