Doha: The total number of nominations for the 11th Arab Towns Organisation Awards reached 53, with 16 in the architectural field and 37 in the beautification of cities.
The jury will meet at the organisation’s headquarters in Doha on February 12 for three days, after which they will announce the winners.
The cities nominated for the architectural awards are nine: Dubai (UAE), Aswan (Egypt), Al Daayen (Qatar), Manama (Bahrain), Khartoum (Sudan), Kuwait and Aqaba (Jordan).
In the architectural field, four cities are nominated: Algiers, Halhul (Palestine), Al Mathnab and Damam (Saudi Arabia).
