Jordan’s Ibrahim Hani Bisharat astride his reliable mare, Brown Sugar, clocked 39.94 seconds to win the Art. 276.2.1, 2.3 – 145 event and carry away a prize cheque for QR 30,525 on the third and final day of the Al Rayyan International Show Jumping Championship yesterday.
Seasoned Qatari rider Nasser Al Ghazali guided Delloren to win the second place, with a time of 40.45 seconds and carried away QR 24,420 at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's (QEF) Main Arena.
Saudi rider Bader Mohammed Alfard, astride Fulla clocked 41.69 seconds to join them on the podium and win QR 18,315 in prize money.
Champion Australian rider Edwina Tops-Alexander, astride Sirius Du Granit, clocked 41.72 seconds to win the fourth place and QR 12,210, while FEI rider Rakan Al Hasawi, on Dennis, recorded a time of 42.15 seconds to be placed fifth to complete the top five in the QR 122,100 event.
Earlier, in the Art. 238.2.1 - 130/135 cm event, Sheikh Yousuf Al Sabah, 'enjoyed' victory astride Enjoy, clocking 54.42 seconds to bag the top prize of the competition, QR 10,000. Ali Al Khorafi, astride Ungarin 4, finished his run in 55.10 seconds to win the second place and a prize cheque for QR 8,000 ahead of Abdulrahman Alhamazani who rode Birgitta to complete the tasks in 56.84 seconds and booked the remaining slot on the podium, winning QR 6,000. Sheikh Yousuf Al Sabah, astride Femke EC, came in fourth while the Qatari winner from Friday, M Rashid Towaim Al Marri clocked 59.25 seconds astride Dolce Vitato complete the top five.
