Doha: Qatar News Agency (QNA) yesterday launched its new website, as part of its continuous effort to improve its electronic service and reach out to the widest range of web surfers possible.
Engineer Khalid Al Mutawa, Director of the Technical Affairs Department, said the news agency’s website, www.qna.org.qa, was updated to cope with developments of websites of news organisations worldwide.
The new website will aid QNA’s mission as a leading source of collecting, publishing and analysing news stories. He said the new website is available in Arabic, English and French.
It is more user friendly as it facilitates smooth surfing of the website. New search engines have been added to the website as well.
Another feature of the website is that it is more interactive and more accessible, as it is available on smartphones and tablets.
New sections have been added to the website, including a video and photo section that compliments political, cultural, economic and sports materials on the website. Another feature is important information news about Qatar
It is the latest effort of QNA to establish a modern news website that serves users in and outside Qatar.
