Doha: The 12th edition of Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition was a grand success and attracted over 40,000 local and global visitors.
Hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), q.media Events and Fira Barcelona at Qatar National Convention Centre, the expo brought an extraordinary collection of jewellery and timepieces from renowned luxury jewellery houses and elite watch brands to Qatar.
It proved again that as a prominent luxury exhibition, it was able to match high standards of European exhibitions in terms of visitors and participating brands.
The exhibition continues to grow year after year and is recognised as one of the most significant events that attracts pioneers of the jewellery and watch industry around the world.
This year’s edition was worth over $2bn, covering 42,914sqm of area from hall 3 to hall 7, and with over 500 participating brands.
Ibrahim Abdullah Al Malki, Chief Enterprise Officer, q.media, said: “The exhibition is recognised as one of key events in the Middle East and worldwide. We as organisers have given our best to put up an outstanding show for exhibitors and visitors.”
Apart from being given the chance to appreciate master craftsmanship and creativity of the collections on display, visitors were entertained by a social media contest.
The five-day event from February 24 to 28 saw many regional and global companies unveil their collections of novelty pieces in the region.
The expo provided online registration, express check-in and a shuttle bus service between the parking area and the main entrance of the venue.
