DOHA: Doha Bank has announced the launch of its ‘2016 Al Dana Savings Scheme’, one of the most popular savings accounts in Qatar, raising the curtain on another year of exciting rewards and life-changing opportunities for its customers.
The 13th edition of ‘Al Dana Savings Scheme’ includes a whopping prize of QR1m each month and will see a total of 534 prizes announced over the course of 2016 – up to 54 prizes each month – and will create more millionaires than ever before.
The first Al Dana millionaire of 2016 was announced on April 28 at a public draw held at the Doha Bank’s branch in Abu Hamour, Dar Al Salam.
The event, which featured kids entertainment such as face painting and balloons twisting, was live streamed on all Doha Bank’s social media platforms and elected one lucky QR1m winner along with 53 other cash prizes winners.
Till date, Doha Bank has announced more than 2,500 prize winners including 41 millionaires, and has given away in excess of QR106m in cash over the past 12 editions of the Al Dana Savings Scheme.
“Al Dana Savings Scheme is celebrating 13 years of making dreams come true, and its appeal and popularity has grown manifold over the years, matching the ever-expanding size of its prize pool. The scheme continues to generate tremendous interest among all segments of the population, and we at Doha Bank are committed to rewarding our customers’ trust and confidence in us by offering them opportunities to further improve their odds of winning life-changing rewards,” said Dr R Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank.
This year, Al Dana customers will have the opportunity to multiply their chances of winning, thanks to a loyalty-focused prize structure that ensures the draws are based on savings balances. This means that customers can increase their chances of winning by saving more and keeping their Al Dana balances for longer.
For example, Al Dana customers maintaining a minimum average quarterly balance of QR10,000 and above will double their chances of winning in their category while those maintaining a minimum 6 months average of QR10,000 and above will triple their chances.
