Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Traffic has announced the release of a new selection of significant vehicle plate numbers through the Sooum app.
In a social media post, the department stated that the expression of interest feature for the new numbers will open on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 8am via the designated window in the app.
Interested bidders are advised to submit their expression of interest for the desired number and pay the security deposit within 72 hours from the start of the expression of interest period.
Once the expression of interest period ends, interested bidders participate in an internal auction lasting 24 hours.
The department added that if only one person expresses interest in a number, it will be sold at the listed price, and if more than one person expresses interest, an internal auction will be held among all interested bidders, and the number will be awarded to the highest bidder.
