Visit Qatar brings Hala Summer to life

Doha: As part of the Hala Summer campaign, Visit Qatar is launching an immersive programme of family-friendly experiences across participating malls and hotels throughout Qatar. 

Running from July 1 to September 30 2026, the activations will transform destinations across the country into vibrant entertainment hubs, offering residents and visitors complimentary themed experiences, live performances, engaging challenges, shopping rewards and prize opportunities.

Taking place at Mall of Qatar, Doha Festival City, Place Vendôme, Villaggio Mall, City Centre Doha, Landmark Mall, Doha Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Al Hazm, Gewan Island and West Walk, the programme will feature unique activations inspired by internationally recognised family characters and entertainment brands, with themed activities designed for children and families.

Entertainment zones will invite visitors to take part in a variety of engaging challenges, including capsule machines, puzzle challenges, balloon machines, hanging challenges, stop-the-timer competitions and other hands-on activities. Participants will have the opportunity to win shopping discount vouchers and other prizes through these complimentary experiences.

Throughout the summer, guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of Qatar Toy Festival’s most popular character mascots during scheduled Meet & Greet appearances across participating malls, Gewan Island and West Walk.

Participating destinations will also host daily roaming performances and live family shows, while September will introduce the Science Street Bike, an interactive roaming parade bringing additional excitement to selected locations.

As part of the Hala Summer Shopping Festival taking place throughout August, shoppers spending a minimum of QR200 at participating destinations can visit dedicated redemption booths to submit their purchase receipts and receive an entry voucher for the campaign’s grand raffle draw. The raffle offers participants the opportunity to win a range of prizes, including a grand prize car, which will be showcased at selected participating destinations during the campaign period.

Complementing the programme, participating hotels across Qatar will offer exclusive themed family stays inspired by globally recognised children’s entertainment brands. Families can enjoy immersive character experiences at participating properties, including Transformers at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, The Smurfs at Marsa Malaz Kempinski, CoComelon at InterContinental Doha, The City, and Hello Kitty and Friends at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. Featuring themed rooms, exclusive character encounters and immersive entertainment, these hotel activations offer memorable summer escapes inspired by some of the world’s most beloved characters.
