DOHA: An expatriate worker was killed when a bus transporting labourers to their worksite overturned near the Gharafa club roundabout yesterday morning.
The driver apparently lost control of the speeding bus, as he was trying to avoid hitting a truck, according to Al Sharq.
The bus overturned causing the death of a worker, who reportedly was crushed under the vehicle. The other workers in the bus were saved, although some of them suffered minor injuries.
The civil defence and ambulance team arrived on the spot in a few minutes. The incident caused traffic disruptions in the roundabout and the connecting roads.
