DOHA: Venezuelan striker Miku has signed a three-year with Qatar Stars League (QSL) giants Al Gharafa yesterday.
Miku, whose real name is Nicolas Ladislao Fedor Flores, spent most of his career in Spain, having played for a host of clubs, starting with Valencia.
The 28-year-old said he was excited to team up with retired Brazilian star Zico who is coaching Al Gharafa.
“I know that Al Gharafa is a big club with a great history,” Miku said at his unveiling ceremony at Al Gharafa.
“A great name coaches this side and I am delighted to be part of a squad where Zico is the coach. I will do my best to serve this club with distinction,” he added.
“Hopefully we can be the championship title-winning side at the end of this season,” Miku said at the press conference.
Miku will team up with fellow imports Brazilian striker Nene, Australian midfielder Mark Bresciano and Argentine striker Lisandro Lopez
