Doha, Qatar: During a visit organised by the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to the State of Qatar H E Maria Camilleri Calleja visited the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque and explored its various sections. She was accompanied during the visit by a delegation from the Maltese diplomatic mission and was welcomed by the staff of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center.
The Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the excellent organisation of the visit, during which she learned about the mosque’s facilities, the rituals performed within it, its role in society, the key principles of Islamic culture, and some of the traditions of the Qatari people. She asked various questions, expressing her deep appreciation for the preservation of Qatari heritage.
The visit included traditional Qatari hospitality, and commemorative plaques featuring their names in Arabic calligraphy were presented to the Ambassador and the accompanying delegation.
