DOHA: The Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has won three awards at the prestigious Arab Health Awards 2014 in Dubai recently. The awards were in the categories of patient centered care, excellence in radiology and Cleveland Clinic Young Physician of the Year.
The HMC Cancer Transformation Program won the Patient Centered Care Award and the team from HMC Emergency Radiology was awarded in the Excellence in Radiology category.
Dr Ibrahim M Fazwy Hassan, Director of Medical Intensive Care at Hamad General Hospital, Deputy Medical Director for the HMC Ambulance Service and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar, took home the Cleveland Clinic Young Clinician of the Year Award.
The Arab Health Innovation and Achievement Awards is part of Arab Health; the largest congress and exhibition in the Middle East and the second largest in the world.
“The award ceremony, which took place at the Dubai Exhibition Center last week recognised individuals or organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the healthcare industry in the Middle East.
