Vodafone will display some of the world’s most advanced technologies and showcase how they can be used to help realise the 2030 Qatar National Vision at the country’s highly anticipated ICT event QITCOM 2017.

QITCOM will be held at the Qatar Convention Centre and run from March6 to 8, with Vodafone’s stand located at area 37B.

“Qatar is growing as an important hub for technology and innovation so we are proud to have signed up as an Official sponsor of QITCOM,” said Ian Gray (pictured), Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Qatar.

“Vodafone is committed to thinking beyond the society that we live in today and striving to create an even better environment for the citizens of Qatar tomorrow. Vodafone Qatar is in the privileged position to be able to take what’s best from Vodafone globally and bring it to Qatar to help realise the 2030 Qatar National Vision so we are delighted to showcase this at QITCOM,” continued Gray.

Visitors to Vodafone’s stand will experience leading developments in the areas of Smart Transportation, Smart Security and Smart Business. The business’ presence at QITCOM will demonstrate how it is continually looking for ways to bring the power of its international network to Qatar, helping a range of organisations in the country to take advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) opportunity. Vodafone will also be present in the Smart Zone with a 5G demonstration, smart stadium virtual reality and an interactive smart stadium experience.

Vodafone’s involvement in QITCOM will demonstrate its extensive experience and expertise in fixed networks, mobility, IoT, cloud solutions, big data and analytics that has made the business the IoT partner of choice for cities, businesses and governments all over the world. Just this month, Vodafone Group achieved a major milestone of 50 million IoT connections, providing further evidence of the business’ industry-leading position in terms of developing new customer relationships, expanding into new industry sectors and geographies.
