Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call on Friday, June 2, from the president of the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt HE Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
During the call, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to support and develop them, in addition to the latest developments in the regional and international situation, especially in Sudan.
The two sides stressed the need to take into account the humanitarian aspects and facilitate the flow of aid to those affected by the fighting in Sudan, and spare civilians from its consequences.
They also agreed to intensify joint coordination to provide support and assistance to the brotherly Sudanese people and mitigate the effects of the crisis, especially on Sudanese refugees, and for the concerned teams and committees in the two countries to start developing mechanisms and implementation plans to ensure that this support reaches the people of brotherly Sudan.
