Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation Katara announced the launch of the Katara One Loft Race 2026, an international homing pigeon competition offering a total prize pool of 205,000 US dollars.
According to the announcement, registration is open to pigeon breeders and enthusiasts from both inside and outside Qatar.
Participating birds will be received between June 10 and August 31 at the race headquarters in the Umm Baraka area.
The competition follows the internationally recognized Benzing One Loft Race (OLR) system, with all pigeons undergoing the same training and racing program before the final event.
The race aims to attract participants from across the region and beyond, continuing Qatar’s efforts to promote traditional sports and cultural heritage activities.
The competition includes strict health and administrative requirements for participating birds, while winners will share the prize fund according to the official schedule approved by the race management.
