In a humanitarian initiative that received widespread attention across social media platforms, Keeta Qatar reunited one of its delivery drivers with his family in Pakistan after two years of separation, highlighting the sacrifices made by thousands of expatriate workers living far from their loved ones.
The journey of Pakistani delivery driver Allah Wasaya, who works for Keeta Qatar, quickly became a touching human-interest story followed by thousands both inside and outside Qatar. The company documented his return to Lahore to spend Eid Al Adha with his family for the first time since arriving in Qatar.
Over the past several years, Wasaya spent his days navigating the streets of Doha as a delivery driver in pursuit of a better future for his family, while only being able to watch his children grow through photos and video calls due to the realities of work and life abroad. His son is now seven years old, while his daughter is six — years he says passed far too quickly while he was away from them.
The initiative came after Wasaya completed more than 500 deliveries within a single month, earning him a fully sponsored trip back to Pakistan. The package included round-trip airfare, shopping support, and a cash gift. The company also documented his emotional journey in a short film, beginning from the moment he received the news up until his reunion with his family in Lahore.

Emotional moments from Doha to Lahore
The film captured several emotional moments leading up to the trip, including Wasaya shopping for gifts for his children and relatives, preparing for travel, and finally arriving at Allama Iqbal International Airport, where anticipation and emotion overwhelmed the moment.
It also documented the days he spent reconnecting with family and friends, participating in Eid preparations, and visiting the local livestock market to purchase a sacrificial animal — a cherished tradition he had deeply missed throughout his years abroad.
Widespread engagement and human connection
The story generated significant engagement on social media, with many expatriates sharing similar experiences of living and working away from their families, while others expressed how deeply moved they were by the film and its authentic emotional message.

Jane Liu, General Manager of Keeta Qatar, said the reactions to the film reflected the powerful human impact behind the story, emphasizing that behind every delivery is a person with a family, dreams, and personal sacrifices. She added that the initiative was driven by the company’s appreciation for the daily efforts of its workers and its commitment to highlighting the human side behind the services people rely on every day.
The human story behind every delivery
For many viewers, Wasaya’s story was more than just a journey home — it served as a reminder of the sacrifices expatriate workers make every day to support their loved ones and build a better future despite the distance and years spent away from home.
