Doha: In keeping with the spirit of giving during Ramadan, Ooredoo brought smiles and happiness to the children’s ward at Al Wakra Hospital, with a visit by volunteers.
The initiative is part of activities across the city to bring #DaysOfJoy to all. The ward had a joyous atmosphere when the team distributed gifts to children to uplift their spirits.
Ooredoo’s Alrabaa surprised shoppers at Landmark Mall, helping people pack their items, offering gifts to young people, and delighting the public. Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director Community and Public Relations, said: “We are delighted to bring joy to children at the hospital and wish them a speedy recovery. This year’s campaign is about keeping the spirit of giving and Ramadan alive, and we hope our visit inspires others to visit the sick and needy during this special time. We were also pleased to bring the Alrabaa to Landmark Mall, where they brought joy to people doing their weekly shopping,” she added,
The Alrabaa are seven characters representing traditions and energy of Qatari culture, and have a busy calendar during Ramadan. In addition to visits to hospitals, children’s homes and the elderly, they are also performing acts of kindness at malls and public spaces. Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan campaign at alrabaa.ooredoo.qa, Ooredoo’s Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page and the hashtag #DaysOfJoy.
