A fire broke out in an enclosed car park behind the DHL office at Old Airport area yesterday. At least three vehicles – a Nissan Altima, a Honda MR-V and a Mazda-6 – were burned. Firefighters from the Civil Defence Department controlled the blaze from spreading to the neighbouring buildings and vehicles parked in the area. Hamad Mohamed Hamad Al Shahwani, an official from the Civil Defence Department, who was present at the site said the reason of fire will be closely investigated. An eyewitness said the fire started at a garbage dump at the corner of the parking area and spread quickly to the vehicles. Salim Matramkot
